Due to the variability of sizes, its dimensions range from the smallest (150/80 cm) to one of the largest (190/80 cm). An oval free-standing bathtub with smooth silhouette lines and rounded sides, which can be made wider if necessary, is quite tall. Cast stone
Cast stone is a composite material consisting of polyester resins and natural marble chips. The process of making bathtubs from cast marble consists in combining all the components (natural component - 85%, chemical binding substances - 15%) into a liquid mass, which is poured into a mold for a bath using a special technology, and when the mass becomes hard, it is removed from the mold for further processing - the tub is ground, polished and covered with a protective coating.
Protective Coating
To maintain the product during use, the cast stone bathtub is additionally coated with an organic gelcoat that protects its surface from chemical and cosmetic agents, mechanical damage, and adds shine to the bathtub. This coating, also known as liquid glass, creates a seamless surface without any micropores, preventing the proliferation of bacteria on the product's surface. Due to its high bactericidal properties, dirt and microbes do not accumulate on the surface, allowing the bathtub to serve for a long time without compromising health. Additionally, its resistance to stains and damage makes caring for the bathtub easy and straightforward.
Lifespan
A cast stone bathtub can last over 60 years! The material is strong and reliable, so with proper care and gentle use, its lifespan can be maximized. Cast stone combines many characteristics: high mechanical strength, resistance to vibrations and loads, and the possibility of refurbishment. It heats up several times faster than other materials and retains the initial water temperature much longer due to its low thermal conductivity and wall thickness of 12-14 mm. These products are resistant to chemical effects and UV radiation, maintaining their original color and preserving the natural shine of the surface for a long time.
